ATTENTION to detail and expert craftsmanship have stood M.A. Harding in good stead over more than a quarter of a century.
Having celebrated its 25th anniversary last year, the company reports that it is still growing, and its reputation and satisfied customers has led to continued expansion, including a client as far away as Wales.
The company was founded in Rushden in 1988 by Mick and Tricia Harding as a commercial coach painting and vehicle repairs business. Over the years, the company has gained an excellent reputation and works regularly for most of the major dealers including MAN, Scania and Volvo. The main focus of the business is commercial vans and trucks, up to 37-tonne artics, but the team can also turn its hand to anything from mobile catering units to horse boxes.
Its skilled and dedicated workforce play no small part in the success of the company and a new trainee was taken on this year to learn the trade, with plans to take on another trainee over the next 12 months or so.
Tricia Harding said: “The painting and respraying side of the business continues to grow, with customers across the region. We even have a customer in Wales now, because they relocated from this area and wanted to continue using our services, so they still return to us when they need to.
“We are proud of the high quality of workmanship we provide and we have invested in trainees to learn the business to the standards we want, we feel that’s the best way to get the best people.
“The body shop side of the business is growing too, with small bodywork repairs undertaken so that in many cases we are able to provide a one-stop shop service to customers.”
